Fishing Derby and upcoming special Events

The Valemount Marina Association pleased to host our annual Labour Day Weekend Fishing Derby.  Young, old and all in between come out and enjoy the sunshine, great fishing, cool waters and breath-taking scenery to try their luck to win the coveted Largest Fish Trophy, or at least tell us about Moby Dick that got away.

August 31 – September 1, 2019
Saturday Daybreak – Sunday 16:00 (4pm)

Entries are available for purchase at the Marina or through Board Executive the week prior.

ADULTS – $10
YOUTH & TEENS (7-15 yrs) – $7
​6yrs < – FREE
​FAMILY $20

​*    DFO Freshwater Fishing regulations in effect. Please         respect Dolly Varden closure

*    Entry must be purchased prior to fishing. Proof of angling license / status may be required

​*    Only those fish caught and landed by entry holder are eligible

*    Only fish caught in Kinbasket Lake
(MU 3-43, 4-36, 4-37, 4-38, 4-39, 4-40, 7-2A)

*    Fish must be weighed-in by official weigh master, top of ramp, Valemount Marina during derby days…

– Sunday   10am – 4pm

*    Prizes to be awarded at Marina Cook Shack, 5pm, Sunday, September 2, 2017

*    The decisions and discretion of the Derby Judges are FINAL

*    Entry ticket MUST accompany weigh-in (take a picture with your phone).
